Join NowModified Double Leg Stretch
This prenatal Double Leg Stretch “Pull” begins with a supported variation using a prop to elevate the upper body. Even in this modified position, you'll continue to challenge your lower abdominals while reducing pressure and creating a more comfortable experience as your pregnancy progresses.
If lying flat still feels comfortable for your body, you may choose the traditional variation. With your arms by your sides, you'll draw your knees toward your chest with control before extending the legs back out, maintaining steady core engagement throughout the movement. As always, your range of motion should reflect what feels supportive for you on that particular day.
As your pregnancy evolves, this exercise may continue to feel great—or you may decide it's time to transition to the supported version. Both choices are valid. There is no "right" timeline, only the feedback your body provides.
You may also notice the gentle rocking motion offers a subtle massage to the lower back and glutes, creating a sense of ease while your core continues to work. Every pregnancy is unique, so celebrate the movements that leave you feeling stronger, more connected, and more comfortable. Remember: the movement may change, but the purpose stays the same.
