Warm Up Prenatal Flow

This prenatal Pilates Circle workout focuses on building strength through the inner thighs, hips, pelvic stabilizers, and postural muscles while encouraging proper alignment and breath control. Whether you're seated on a stability ball or a sturdy chair, you'll learn how to activate the muscles that support your body throughout pregnancy using slow, controlled movements.

By placing the Pilates Circle above the knees and applying gentle, consistent pressure, you'll strengthen the hip adductors while improving pelvic stability and posture. Coordinating each repetition with your breath, maintaining an upright posture, and engaging the glutes encourages the work to come from the hips rather than the knees or quadriceps. For an additional challenge, optional arm movements can be incorporated to improve postural strength, shoulder stability, and overall coordination.

If sitting on a stability ball doesn't feel comfortable or secure, a chair, bench, or sturdy box provides an excellent alternative. The goal is never to make the exercise more difficult—it's to find the variation that allows you to move with confidence and control while feeling safe and supported.

Throughout pregnancy, remember that your body's needs may change from one day to the next. Pay attention to signs of fatigue, overheating, dizziness, or discomfort, and don't hesitate to pause, hydrate, and rest when needed. Short, intentional sessions are often more beneficial than pushing through exhaustion. By listening to your body and giving yourself permission to slow down, you're creating a sustainable movement practice that supports both you and your baby. Move with intention, trust your body's wisdom, and celebrate every step of your journey. The movement may change, but the purpose stays the same.
